Artist History
Why did the all American blonde, the Indonesian princess and the fiery
Sicilian walk into a bar? To play a rock show!
So, the girls of Skipper aren’t exactly triplets, but they definitely sound like the daughters of a drunken menage’a tois between Green Day, Veruca Salt and Nirvana. For over a year, Skipper has been intoxicating crowds from their home of NYC to the great pyramids of Egypt. Okay, maybe that was The Pyramid club on Avenue A, but some other legendary stages Skipper has graced include CBGB, The Continental(where they headlined the “Girls That Rock” showcase), The Elbow Room and most recently they were heard making some noise for Volumania IX:Girls Get Loud at Downtime.
Skipper spends their nights rockin’, but their days are spent on Wall Street! That’s right. Among the heard of silk suits, you may catch a glimpse of a plaid thrift shop skirt. That's because Skipper was lucky enough to land a spot in the Off Wall Street Jam’s “Starving Artists” program where they rehearse for free during the day. When this brave trio isn’t taking on Gothem, Dina(guitar/lead vocal), Cristina(bass/backing vocal) and Jaime(drums) hit the road in thier “Skipperized” school bus to play other exotic east coast cities including Philly and Boston. But, take heed. If you haven’t been fortunate enough to get your chip munchin’, PS2 playing ass up to hear Skipper live, you can catch them on several college radio stations or on Swedish National Radio. Skipper’s huge in Sweden!
Sure the Skipper girls are hot and yeah they have style, but if you think these girls are just another pretty party favor think again. Their songs, their sound and their spunk will have you hooked! Skipper’s energy is gonna spread like a Jersey cheerleader’s legs on prom night!
