Artist History
Inspired by their roots, FLOOD preaches heavy
tuned, rousing rock. The band flashed back on
the alternative 70`s style music. They listened
to a lot of Sabbath, Blue Cheer, Pentagram, Atomic
Rooster, Captain Beyond, Motorhead, etc. Such
heavy influences really show through in their
music.
In 1998, FLOOD released a two song ep to promote
the band. The ep was produced by Obliveon's Pierre
Remillard.
During the year of 2000, Didier Gagnon the founder
of FLOOD, concentrated on his new material and
later joined by Yves Parent (Guitar). They both
played in a Sabbath cover band called Rat Salad.
Didier invited Stephane Poitras on bass also with
"Les Martiens". Finally, the amnesia at rest,
Yves remembered Jacques Viens (Drums) to punish
the skins. A new Flood was born.
In the year of 2001, the band focused on their
live performances which allowed them to move
rapidly forward, playing underground scenes and
major shows building a loyal following. Obviously,
this stimulated the band's creativity and forced
new material in their repertoire.
In December 2002, FLOOD released a ten song
album
called STONE CORE FEVER.
They work on the promotion of the album and they
also are in the process of touring this winter.
