Artist History Sought Out is a ministry that consists of sisters Roni Quarles and Cynthia Guinn, and niece, Sherita Newman. Roni and Cynthia began singing together as little children, harmonizing television commercials, radio jingles, and lullabies to the younger nieces, nephews, and cousins. They sang duets in churches in the Washington, D.C. area, and in the youth choir where they attended church. When Sherita was old enough to learn words to songs, they began to teach her the lullabies and their favorite songs. Soon she was singing the younger children to sleep with her aunties. As teenagers, Roni and Cynthia began singing with the family group The Speight Sisters. Roni met “C.Q.”Quarles, one of the most anointed and gifted pianists around. He became the pianist for the Speight Sisters, and he and the group won many awards. “C.Q.” and Roni married, and from this union was born a son, Setanna Quarles. Though still singing and traveling with the family group, Cynthia, Roni, and Sherita were often called upon to do weddings, special services, and back up vocals for many other artists. This went on for twenty years. When God spoke and said that the season was now for the three to go forth in ministry, they took on the task of recording this, their first CD entitled “It’s Our Turn To Sing Praises.” By God’s grace, anointing, and divine providence the task was completed. The CD was produced by “C.Q.” and Setanna Quarles. Be edified, touched, and delivered as you listen, in Jesus’ name.
