Artist History Nancie has played piano since before she could walk. As a young adult, she studied and performed vocal chamber music as a professional. The piano remained important as a practice medium, and she also began experimenting with church organ and harpsichord. She performed as soloist and with chamber groups throughout New England and New York City for many years before retiring from the stage to enter the field of higher education. She performs in public now only rarely - on the Baroque recorder and vocal part songs. Recently, and reluctantly at first, she was introduced to the electronic keyboard. Eventually, she was convinced by Dakotah Studios in Vermont that it might be fun, not only for herself but for others, to present some of the wonderful, simple melodies of the past as easy listening arrangements. The results are a pleasant mingling of timeless aires with the age of technology.
