Want more? One Friday night, older brother
Douglas and his band played at a garage gig.
Curious 5 year-old Kenny snuck into the garage
to witness older Cuzz Melchor, playing the drums
to Santana's "Jingo," and El Chicano's
"Viva Tirado". Kenny has been hooked to the
drums like a crack addict ever since.
In 1977, a group from Ohio named Slave bust out
with a song called "Slide". 7th grader Kenny was
in the garage, on his red see-through Ludwigs,
when he heard Mark Adams thumpin on the bass.
Kenny's been two-timing his drums ever since
with a cheap, Fender Bass (copy).
In 1979, Kenny was given the opportunity to play
on stage with a family orchestra. However, it was
on the condition that Kenny play percussions and
play the drums only if the main drummer became ill.
Hungry for the experience, Kenny broke the news to
his drums and his bass and started a brief life as
a percussionist.
Kenny's led a life of two-timing instruments
ever since. Currently, he's having an affair
with the Piano and some Miss Thang named Triton
who came from this place called Korg.
Other instruments may think of Kenny as an
ego-tistical maniac given his insatiable appetite
for music and long history of moving from one
instrument to the next, but the truth be told?
All the instruments Kenny has ever touched, swear
that he plays them like no other player. |
