Artist History EVIL BREAD was formed in 1991 on I-71 between Cincinnati and Columbus, in the back of a car on the way home from a Butthole Surfers gig. Grindcore with food lyrics? Hell yes. Grindcore in 1991 was a new frontier. If you were 19 and living in Ohio, that is. EVIL BREAD boldly tuned its guitars down to B in homage to no one because only Napalm Death and Godflesh dared even consider tuning that low - and even they only went to C#, the wussies. The first batch of songs for EVIL BREAD included "I Want A Big Mac," "Hands Off My Oreos," and "My Pizza Tastes Like Hell." At the end of the summer, EVIL BREAD died and was partially reborn a few months later as DEVILCAKE, which continues the food-metal-satan legacy. Then at some point EVILBREAD too was reborn, this time with no space between the words in the name, and this time as a solo venture for original guitarist Michael Million. And it continues as his sole impure vision of the food-metal-devil axis. Long may it reign. Hail Satan.
