Artist History
Scott Gaudet and Matt Weiser had talked about forming a band behind the scenes of "The King and I," a play that both of them were in, and talked about things they wanted out of a band. The band had originally started as a three piece... two guitars (Scott and Matt) and a drummer (Michael). They all knew that they would need a bass player before too long. Scott suggested a close friend, Chris Shepard. The only problem was that Chris didnt know how to play bass. Matt had a bass for him to start learning on so Chris gave it a whirl. Then another problem arose, Chris was left-handed so the need for a left-handed bass became a priority. In order to not hold up the progress of the band though Chris began learning bass by playing the regular one upside-down and backwards. After a few weeks, the band bought a left-handed bass. Chris then began to learn to play while the rest of the band worked on writting music and getting ready to start recording. |
