Artist History Proletariat was created as a direct response to September 11th. We saw the amount of blind patriotism that followed the events and immediately vomited. After the vomiting was over, Manny decided that it would be a good idea to counter this sudden surge of patriotism by starting a band. Immediately we chose the name proletariat, to to its ties with the working class and their opression. We worked our tails off and by September 14th or 15th, we had this one track demo, complete with a full color insert, lyrics and funny images relating to Bush. The purpose of the band is to make people stop and question what is going on around them. BURN YOUR FLAG! STAND UP AND FIGHT!

Group Members Mike Karst plays the bass, Josh Carnevale plays the guitar and Manny "The Gonz" Gonzalez plays the drums and unfortunately did the vocals as well. Matt Ridgeway is the new vocalist.
