Artist description
Dark, heavy yet accessible industrial in the vein of Front Line Assembly. Songs consist of layers of synths and keyboards, grinding percussion, heavy guitars (sampled and live), and usually heavily processed vocals.
The focus of the music is dealing with emotion and life in general. I strongly believe that music should be made for a purpose, and have something to say. Edges of Reality gets at my own experience of the world, as I try to come to terms with it, and also makes a statement (albeit a rather cryptic one at times) about life and the human condition.
If nothing else, I hope it makes people think; the world could be a better place if we used our brains once in a while. |

Artist History
Edges of Reality is my second industrial project. The first, called The Sylent, dealt with the same essential ideas, but with less sophisticated music. The Sylent didn't quite do what I hoped to accomplish through music. In the process of trying to reinvent the sound, I realized that my new music was very different from what The Sylent was. So I've pretty much abandoned The Sylent and moved on to this new project, which is of much higher quality. It's a brand new band, formed mid-October, 2002, and I'm pretty optimistic about it. |
