Artist description
The band was formed in August 2000 in a small Estonian town Haapsalu. We’re playing own written instrumental music.. Members of Melotrap are at the age of 25 to 28 and previousely have played in several other bands (punk, metal, grunge) and we have some experiences both in gig playing and studio work. Just one of us have learn in musical school and none of us is professinal musician.. Some of our friends have described our music as “romantic guitarmusic”. That’s not wrong but we have songs more close to real life too. Our music is tending to fade away in style (pop-rock, ethnic, progressive, blues, funk, heavy), but we take it not as minus, rather it’s more interesting for us to play songs in different moods, tempo and heaviness. |

Press Reviews
Decent progromental
Well, these are well-honed players playing a fairly restrained prog instrumental. Restraint is not a word used to describe most prog, hence the genre's "kick me" status among critics. Unfortunately, the melodic content isn't as impressive as the chops displayed. There wasn't a hook that grabbed me enough to want to hear it again, and the chops weren't SO overwhelming that I could listen to it as a "players piece".
Well Produced
I think that the production on this track is excellent, but i'm not really a Fan of music. The guitar work is good. I like that lead work.

synthrock
very interesting mix of rock and synthesizers- that's something that you don't hear too much of. I liked the riff through the song and all of the tempo changes too. I think that it may have needed a really heavy solo over some parts. Overall, not too bad of a tune. Good luck.
great drums
i want candy. I liked the start out of the song alot. Bass and drums sounded really nice. The heavy part on guitar sounded really sweet, and the top gun like solo's were nice. Keyboards owned. great song -- maybe if u could get a good singer ud be at the top of the charts

Thank God
This is the first instrumental I've heard on GB that actually holds water. There is a dramatic arc and journey to the piece. The melodies are simple but not sophmoric. Well recorded. The fast lead guitar toward the end is a little out control. Work on that precision. Keyboard sound choices are cool. Bass just kind of held down the fort, nothing really special but totally appropriate. Nice to hear some real musicians. Keep pluggin'.

No vocals?
Like the second part of the lead in music, not crazy about the beginning. I prefer music with vocals.
