Artist History
The dtz story began in 1996 when guitarist Aaron Harris, formerly of the critically-acclaimed local band "Eli in Lust," began a collaboration with an old bandmate, singer, Charles Elly of "Car Full of Bobs." (Charles and Aaron played mostly progressive covers with the agency band "Car Full of Bobs" and "No Bobs Here" full time in the early 90's blanketing the bar circuit for 2 years.) Over the next few years Charles and Aaron began writing original music and recording demos of their songs in the hope of putting a live band together.
Bobby Schaefer, bass guitarist, was the first to join the band. Bobby played with the band "All About Susie" ("Spitshine" / "Jenkins Hollow") prior to joining dtz.
Tony Lardieri has an extensive back ground on keyboards. Tony joined the band in 1999 on guitar ,keyboards ,and vocals. Tony was formerly with the bands Fat Apple and The Jinn Men.
Paul Kennedy joined the band in July of 2002 on drums and vocals. Paul was formerly in the band "Wish" as well as many Bowie, Maryland based bands including members of the group, "Colouring Lessons."
