Artist History
Aly and Glenn Harrold are a husband and wife songwriting duo called Diviniti who, after a break of 3 years, have started writing songs again in 2002. The forced break came about as they had great success elsewhere with Glenns hypnosis tape series which have sold .25 million copies worldwide in 3 years, and are the UKs best selling self help audio tapes. As a result of this they are both directors in Diviniti Publishing Ltd, a thriving business responsible for the tape and CD marketing and production.
They have an excellent home studio set up where they write, arrange and record their own songs. They previously had a number of successes in various international song competitions. Most notably coming 3rd in the 1996 Amnesty International song contest with Freedom Hope & Liberty which went on to be released world-wide on an Amnesty International compilation CD. They also came 2nd in the Cork International song contest in the same year with Teach our Children Well.
There influences are classic positive songwriters like John Lennon, although their sound is a cross between the positive lyrics and vocals of Enya, and classic modern pop like the Lightening Seeds and Travis.
