Artist History
As the sonic bass guitar artist of "vyZ", Rich provides both the harmonic atmosphere, melodic counterpoint and perfectly syncronized backend sound to the music. He uses a variety of bass guitar effects and original amplification techniques, that totally push his range of bass playing into a leading instrumental presence. Rich Damone spent most of his professional music career playing upright bass with many jazz legends such as Kenny Kirkland, Clifford Jarvis, Sam Rivers and Archie Shepp.
John Pritchard is the pulse master, orchestrator, percussionist and visual-music composer of "vyZ". John has a unique electronic drumming style of simultaneously playing keyboards with one hand while drumming on his midi drum kit with the other. John comes from a solid jazz/rock drumming background and has great regard for all the indigenous, tribal traditions of rhythmic music around the world. He has played and recorded with Native American flute master, Ken Littlehawk, drummed on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, and has performed at St. John the Divine in NYC with world famous jazz drummer, Jack DeJohnette.
