Artist description Krisztian Mark Koczor, the guy who calls himself MODO AZUL was born in 1973 in Budapest/Hungary and is living since 1986 in different locations within a 200 km circle around Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He is a soon-to-be MSc Nutritional Economist at the University of Giessen and is working simultaneously as a Market Research Executive in Frankfurt. The MODO AZUL project covers different styles of contemporary urban and underground music and mostly features Acid Jazz, Lounge, Drum and Bass, Break and Bossa, Down Tempo, Chill Out and Ambient tracks. The output encompasses the creators very personal view of his most appreciated music styles, merges them in his special way...and although the output is certainly not a guiding one in music business, at least it still makes you feel like enjoying a friendly, well-known environment in a cosy kind of state of mind while listening to the tracks. MODO AZUL neither wants to imitate others nor to sound like something new. The common thing in the works lies in the conveying of a very distinctive BLUE atmosphere...Jazzheads of you would certainly understand what that means, though you specialists may reckon that MODO AZUL ain't a straightforward Acid Jazz thing at all...actually, MODO AZUL produces only tracks which he really loves. Perhaps you like them. It might be that you don't. MODO AZUL hopes that the music can evoke some certain feelings and THAT is really all what he wants.

Artist History MODO AZUL started music production in 1994, mostly concentrating on analogue generated Electronic Music under diverse pseudonyms. Complete technology shift to "computer controlled" music production in 1999. MODO AZUL never had any commercial releases, neither on vinyl nor on CD.
