Artist description
Exaggeration. The name says it all. The band meshes fat, funky, liquid grooves with the rock sensibilities of The Who and Jimi Hendrix, all the while, maintaining the rythmic intensity and tightness of James Brown. All this ability is finally dipped in a large pot of "Jam", allowing Exaggeration's members to add new ideas constantly, keeping the sound fresh and vibrant. Truly unique. |

A sound likened to the heavy, liquid grooves of Parliment mixed with the rock-out tendencies of Jimi Hendrix, and the jam qualities of Blues Traveler. |

Artist History
Forged in the unincororated area of Lake In the Hills, Exaggeration was the brain child of some of the areas brightest young talents. After many late hours, many songs written and discarded, and several visits from the local officials, the founding memebers of the band decided it was time to edge away from the rock-oriented bands that are popular in the area, and do what they've always been good at. Funkin' that place up. In it's early incarnation, the band was simply a three-piece cover/jam band, playing at local venues. With the addition of a keyboard player, the band gained a new depth of "funkitude", as well as a gigantic virtuosic talent. The addition of a energetic new bass player, to allow the old one to focus on the vocals, brought the groove to an even higher plateau, and with the final addition of a brilliant young lead guitar player finally cemented the band into it's role. To play music that was groovy, fun, and all-in-all, tragically hip. The phenomonal drummer, amazing rhythm guitar, and raw, soulfull vocalist remain, and the band is tighter than ever. |
