Artist description
Casey Abrams is an inspired, evocative singer-songwriter and guitarist. His lyrics draw from the dark woods creepiness of Southern Gothic Americana, the sunny jubilance of the Tin-Pan Alley songbook and everything in between. They bridge the gap between the superstitious tall-tales and hard luck of the American folk story and the honesty and sentiment of the 70’s singer-songwriter tradition. Casey’s fingerstyle playing reflects a profound understanding of the language and legacy of folk, jazz, ragtime and country blues guitar. He has shared the stage with the Richie Havens, Joan Baez and Eric Burden, among others. Currently living in Boston, MA, he is at work on his first full-length CD, “Thirteen American Ghosts”, from which the songs on this EP are drawn. |
