Artist description
Bibowats is a rock band. Not the kind of rock n' roll band with a fly by night fashion that is soon gone with the speed of a virus, but the the kind of rock band built on strong songwriting and experiments in sonic texture. Bibowats hails from St. Louis, Missouri, the city of bricks and Budwieser and the home of rock n' roll's father, Chuck Berry.
Bibowats is known for the intensity and loudness of their live show. The band's three guitar attack gives them a unique sound that is not only thick but also gives the listener several different ideas to grab on to at once. Add to this a solid and dynamic rhythm section and Bibowats is a band that cannot be ignored. |

Artist History
Bibowats is a five-piece rock band formed out of the ashes of two former St. Louis bands, Kitsch and Whistleblower. Both of the previous bands began playing in the mid-ninties and made their mark playing clubs in and outside of St. Louis. Kitsch was included on the Pointessential compilations, the infamous series that included songs by Wilco, Gravity Kills, and The Urge. When both bands broke up in 1998, Bibowats was formed. |

Press Reviews
Bibowats are a local band who play exciting guitar rock; they're also the group who brought the house down. They are great locals to have in our music scene.

Bibowats bring plenty of amp wattage to their shows and play loudly. They feature a wall of guitar sound complete with a whole floor of guitar effects spread around the stage and used in various parts of the songs. This band has so many memorable hooks and vocal parts that it's easy to leave one of their shows with several of their songs in your head. With a great CD available at their shows for $2, it seems they'll be on the radio before long.
