Artist History
Formed in the spring of 2000 the Funk Show was the brain child of Zac Kubilus, Sam Parks, and Angie Wrather. The band formed with the intent of having a band that could express each of the members talents to the fullest. Practices started immediately in Sam's basement. Their first song, Music to My Soul was written by Angie and Sam before plans of the band ever formed. It would soon become a song loved by the masses. Now that the band had a guitarist, drummer, and singer all they needed was a bassist, they soon found that in Matt Karhand, a multi instrument talented musician. In June 2002 work began on "What in the..." Smallville's first CD, witch was released on July 8 2002 at The Fountain. Later Smallville Funk Show went on to play such venues at Muddie Waters and the Metadream Jazz/Funk festival. Today the band is still at it, expect a tour this winter and another in the summer. Be sure to catch a show!
