Artist description
Combining anthemic piano and soaring guitar riffs, Redline is a dangerously melodic five-piece rock band out of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Comprised of Jon Mellen (vocals, guitars), Tim Kirkman (keyboards, guitars), Rob Fallon (lead guitars), Charlie Simpson (bass guitar) and Jamie Gifford (drums), this band revitalizes rock and roll in a way that can only be described on a grand scale. All talented musicians, the men from Redline are also becoming well-known for their energetic and soulful performances. |

Artist History
Redline was born in November of 2001 when Tim Kirkman, Rob Fallon, Jamie Gifford and Jon Mellen had nothing better to do. The group clicked, and added friend and talented musician Charlie Simpson on bass guitar. The band played their first show in December of 2001, opening for popular Boston act Brother Chameleon at Bates' Benjamin Mays Center. They played more shows on campus, and later played a raucus and very well-received set at Bates, opening for the Push Stars. The band began to gain popularity on the campus, and most recently played a major show opening for the Gin Blossoms at the Gray Cage in Lewiston, Maine. Redline continues to gain popularity, both for its gripping music and enthralling live shows. |
