Artist History
Formed in the summer of 2002, Ordinary Day is comprised of two former bands (Near Oblivion, and Very Jive) that have come together in hopes of making music their life. The musical chemistry was evident right from the get-go, and Ordinary Day has since evolved into a melodic rock band with edgy guitars and strong vocal hooks. The band debuted itself in the Toronto music scene back in August (2002), and by September they were already showcasing to major labels in New York City. Since then, Ordinary Day has gained interest in both the U.S. and Canadian music industries, and has played in bars and clubs in the GTA including: The 360, The Rivoli, The Reverb, The Casbah, The Blues On Belair, and Healy's. The band has recently finished recording some new material at Rainbow Studios in Niagara Falls, and is now gigging once again. Their music has been compared to that of bands such as: Matchbox Twenty, Oasis, and The Foo Fighters. |
