Artist description
The Non of Us collective, hailing from 'minearea east', The Netherlands, derives pleasure from mutilating serene melodies with massive anger and frustration. The sweet voice of Ruth Maassen (student at the Rock Academy Tilburg) is counterparted by the aggressive and heavily distorted music, fueled by the hyperactive percussion by Roeuh Duvel, who is preparing for the Conservatorium. Bottom end is provided rather generously by Pedro on bass and Guhlenn abusing the detuned guitar. For the higher end pleasure and darker screams Maurice (guitar & backing vocals) fills the space.
About the music, most people put us somewhere between gothic and nu-metal, but we ourselves like to call it cross-core. Cross representing the crossing of any style border, and core standing for the heavy and aggressive roots the songs are based on...
The name (we know it's spelled wrong, call it artistic freedom ;)) stands for the fact that we don't make a song, we all contribute parts and the song happens. The only manipulation is that we try to steer free of paths already taken, to create a unique sound... No borders, no limits.
