Artist History
Anndra is a music student at St. John's College, Oxford. He is a pianist, violist, and organist, as well as singing in a number of choirs, including the well-regarded Schola Cantorum of Oxford and St. John's College Chapel Choir. He has accompanied several local amateur operatic groups, as well as his work composing: in 2001, the incidental music to Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (which he co-composed) was premièred with Anndra as conductor; his Christmas anthem "Christ is Born" was recorded by Sheffield Schools' Girls Choir.
As a violist Anndra is a member of the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra, with whom he toured Istria in Croatia in August 2002, to great local acclaim; the orchestra has made several recordings, not least as the backing orchestra for John Lennon's last song, recorded in 2000 at Abbey Road Studios.
Anndra hopes to pursue music professionally as a composer and conductor. |
