Artist description We are the Burning Dirty Band, a 4-piece collective of musical conspirators from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We believe in the power of music, the power of motion, and the ongoing quest for something just a little bit further. We play rock and roll with extra gravy- rollicking rootsy rhythms, funky mutant blues rave-ups, lysergic voyages, and quirky indie energy. Our debut full-length album, "Caught", was recorded in the summer of 2002 with Steve West (Pavement, Marble Valley). Listen. Dance. Dig in. Get dirty.

Artist History Our roots entail a hazy history of college gigs ranging from sparse to sell-out , bacchanalian frenzies of basement-band adoration, and sultry, smoky, barroom revivals where the faithful come to shake it and the uninitiated can't help but smile, tap their born-again feet, and savor the joyful noise infecting the place. The BDB was borned in Harrisonburg, VA in 2000, growed up in 2001, made an album in 2002, and is still drinkin', thinkin', rockin', rollin' and looking forward to what the future holds...
