Artist description
I am known as JIMMI, because of my genuine love
and guitar playing style for the music of the
legendary JIMI Hendrix. The first time I heard
JIMI Hendrix’s Purple Haze I knew that then I was hooked. The many variations of style that he used to play the electric guitar simply amazed me. I was also influenced by blues legends such as Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and countless others.

Artist History
My dad, William Perry Wilson, introduced me to
playing the guitar at the young tender age of 11.
I was born James Irvin Wilson on Oct 24, 1963. I
was named after my mother’s two brothers and am
the youngest of seven children. I grew up on
the historical Eastern Shores of Maryland in a
small town called Ridgely. Music has been the
center of my life for many years. I really play
the guitar because I have such a great love for
it. I played at parties and outdoor engagement
for the fun of it, around Maryland and Delaware. Then one day a friend of mind suggested that I play at club on open mike night. I was standoffish at first but he kept nagging at me and finally I did.
To my surprise, I actually enjoyed it. |
