Artist History
Circle Research first formed in 1995 as a DJ partnership by founding members Nix “The Finger Prince” and Astro “The Guillotine”. Soon to follow were the additions of Fishernice and ChrisB. Now, as the popular catch phrase suggests, “The Circle Research phenomenon is taking Canada by storm”. Their history of live performances includes shows with The Jungle Brothers and Tha Alkaholiks, O.C., Mystik Journeymen, Necro, Casual, Aceyalone, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Kid Koala, Dan the Automator, Rahzel (of The Roots), Blackalicious and 3 time DMC world champion, DJ Craze. They’ve also done shows with a variety of stellar Canadian artists including Anticon recording artists Buck 65 and Sixtoo, DJ Moves, Moka Only and Swollen Members, DJ Serious, Monolith, Brassmunk, D-Sisive and Bag of Trix. Most recently, Circle Research has been featured on releases by Abdominal and DJ Fase (Flowtation Device LP), and The Oddities “Weak Days” 12” single.
