    Artist description
Imagine if everything you perceived as reality was torn from you. Time no longer holds meaning, days and nights bleed together in a chaotic blur. Nothing has substance, sanity is raped, and your ability to reason withers. As nothing in life, death, or religion makes sense anymore, you begin to question all that you see or think. Slipping further into madness, everything is lost. You are left with nothing... but a moment of clarity, that is Truth In Ruin. - Truth In Ruin is an up-incoming black/death metal band from Omaha, Nebraska and "they are coming for your soul", as quoted from the January issue of THE READER, a local magazine that reviewed the band's debut demo CD, "Disciples Of The Forsaken". With fast melodic black metal riffs combined with heavy death metal structures, haunting keyboard melodies, raw and aggressive vocals and a drummer who accents each song. No one has been able to successfully put them in one music genre, and that is the way they want it. For only playing since August of 2002, their talent has been noticed and their local fan base builds rapidly after every show. Now, they set off to go anywhere to play to thirsty listeners looking for something new for metal to offer.

    Artist History
Colin (guitar) and his brother, Austin (drums), have been playing since they were early teens and in 2002, they felt they wanted to start a band that would be extreme, which is what the Omaha music scene lacked. So, they brought in their friend, Zach to play second guitar and wrote five songs together. After feeling satisfied with the way they worked together they decided to look for a bass player and a singer. They posted flyers around Omaha in early August, until Matt discovered one and decided to check them out. Already knowing he wanted to be a part of it after hearing the first song, he invited his band-mates from the local black metal band, Kibutsu, to come join. With that came Colin on vocals and Pat on keyboard, which added a more unique sound for the band then what it already was. The line up was complete and Truth In Ruin was born. - After playing their first show at a packed club in the downtown area, the offers to play other venues came instantly and a strong fan base was beginning to form. After playing almost every possible venue in their hometown, getting airplay on the #1 local radio-station and having a strong, true local fan-base, Truth In Ruin now strives for bringing their act of theatrical, musical violence to anywhere possible and show no sign of slowing down, just getting stronger.

    Press Reviews
"From the red tape projects of Millard, the self-proclaimed death/black metal band, Truth In Ruin, has come for your souls. Either that, or they just want to order a cheeseburger, as the mass cluster that is grumbling processed vocal track requires a doctorate to decipher. Listen closely enough to each track on the band's "Disciples Of The Forsaken" EP, and you might be able to hear the songs' titles mentioned, or take the easy route and just break shit while getting worked up from the music. - A wall of guitars and a drummer who accents each song offer authenticity and assurance that this isn't just a group of guys who put on black t-shirts to play the parts. With only four tracks released now, Truth In Ruin has a firm foundation set for future endeavors." -AW of THE READER (Omaha)
