Artist description
A Ludwig drum-kit from 1969, a red synth called
"Karma", a marshall stack, an ampeg bass-amp
and some fender guitars. The sound is like a
-70's kinda rock groove mixed with a guitar
from the -90's grunch era mellowed by a
synth from the -80's. |

Artist History
The Drives got formed during summer 2002.
Some of us knew eachother from before.
All members live in Oslo/Norway doing
different things to earn for life.
Ambitions are high and our primar goal
is to travel around the world playing our
music. We rehearse at least twice a
week trying to develop a typical
"The Drives sound". It's not easy to get an
origin sound, but we believe in coincidenses.
We got quite different backgrounds in music
and when we formed the band we
knew that very well (okay, that wasn't a
coincidence), but we got
together with the skills we had (and those we did'nt have) and
played as hard as we could. It was fun! Therefore!!! |
