    Artist description
It is hard to describe The Bleeding Sun. At first everyone would say it's a Melodic Black Metal band, but the truth is that we have many influences and you can see that in our compositions. We have the typical Black Metal riffs, but there's also some Death Metal, Thrash Metal and many other things. The Bleeding Sun's music is so varied that many people that listen to Extreme Metal can find something that they like in our songs.

    Artist History
In 1996 Ravensouls was formed in Rub (Barcelona), it was a young band dedicated to play black/death with melodic and powerful tracks, and a line-up with vocals, bass, guitars, keyboard and drums. During 4 years the band seemed to be at the beginning of a stable formation, but there were many changes in the band. After a first attempt to record a demo, the band entered in the studio again with the name Ravensouls and the same formation before 1999, to record their first demo called “Burning Flesh In Raven's Possession”, but the band didn't released it. During the year 2000, the band maintained 3 components: keyboard, voice and bass, because the guitarist went back to his origin country to form the band December's Cold Winter. Right after that, the drummer also left the band. The band spent a lot of time looking for musicians to complete the line-up. After trying with 5 or 6 guitarists, the members found a new drummer and a new guitarist and the band was completed. Starting from scratch, they composed new songs, with a curious mix with a marked base but not sticking only into the doom/black thing. With these changes, the band needed a new name: THE BLEEDING SUN, and a new stage began during the 2000-2001 period with several gigs, including some shows in Sala Mephisto and KGB in Barcelona. Their first song recorded under this name was “The Ravens are Crying Blood Again” on tribute to the band they came from. It was included in several compilations and the song got good reviews that helped opening some doors. When it seemed that there was a stable line-up, the drummer left the band and the bassist took the drums (he played the drums as well as the bass). The band searched for a new bassist and a second guitar. In a little time, they found them. The band entered the studio (La Rulot) in September-October of 2001 and recorded their first demo titled “Nessare”, with 10 songs, including the above mentioned “The Ravens are Crying Blood Again.” The band tried to play in the Iberian Black Arts Festival with such bands as Dark Funeral, Ancient, Avulsed and Symawrath, but the festival was finally cancelled. Their demo was played on some radio stations and had a good impression on important people from the Spanish music business (Abstract Emotions/Hell Awaits Magazine). At the beginning of 2002, the band performed in St.Feliu of Guixols (Girona), in Dark Party (Tarragona) and in Sala Mephisto (Barcelona) with some local important bands. 2003 would be a time for things warming up, many concerts, great reviews, and members coming and going. Orkus finally joined the band as the new 2nd guitarrist and it would begin the recording og "Damnatorium", the follow up to "Nessare", that will be coming very soon.
