Terminal 7
CDR Release
Terminal 7's self-titled EP contains four tracks of instrumental electronic music, starting with the track "Lost," which incorporates dark ambient synths with clicky electronics and steady deep bass hits. "Paradigm Change" is a bit faster, reminding me a bit of Nine Inch Nails with an added touch of drum 'n bass and later techno progressions.
Quite possibly my favorite track on the EP, "Rake" really pulls things together with a slow, menacing synth pattern that flows throughout the track as the mellow drums create an aural sedative. The EP is brought to a conclusion with "Opium," the darkest song on the CD that flourishes with mechanical drum beats that clank over finely placed piano touches and droning synths.
Great mixing and mastering made it even easier to review this CDR, which always brings a smile to my face. While I do feel that some vocals are needed to really flesh out the songs a bit more. Either vocals or a more layered sound would help Terminal 7 tremendously. A very nice start for solo artist Tre Collins and the music of Terminal 7.
