Smiler is basically only made up of one guy, Nigel Turan. Who plays guitar and sings about what hits him the most in life. His pain, disappointment, apathy, and hope for better times is what he trys to express in his music. He reflects on those moments of hoplessness and lonlieness that everyone feels, with honest, thought out lyrics, and catchy melodies. |

Artist History
An introvert and poet at heart. In late 2001 Nigel Turan discovered guitar and singing as another means to express his feelings, and point of veiw to others. At that point Smiler (nigel turan) was born. Soon after that he found a tape recorder and recorded a five song cassette , entitled "And we dance...". Although of low sound quality this medium was enough to show his thoughts and where he stands. Now, only a few months after he has recorded a new cd, "your faith means everything". With his pace a little bit faster in this release he keeps the same raw emotion and honesty while hitting subjects he feels need to be addressed, and that many are quick to ignore. |
