Artist History
One Version Aversion is a band whose music fuses driving rhythms with soaring, tuneful melodies; a sound that finds most of its purveyors across the Atlantic. The group's members, with backgrounds as diverse as they are talented, are eager to make their mark in music's ever-changing landscape.
Finding himself back in San Antonio, Texas, after a stint in Indiana pursuing photography and film, Leonard Orozco was looking to re-ignite his creative juices in music. He paired up with an old friend from Austin, TX, Christopher Ruiz, who had just returned from San Francisco and was looking for a productive outlet as well. Calling on a mutual friend and ex-band mate of the two, Todd Kreth joined the fold and the three started creating a wonderful collection of textured guitar-based music. In dire need of a bass player to round out the rhythm section, but stumbling upon many disappointments, the fellows met Stephanie Wooten; a native North Carolinian. Amazing them with her musical and songwriting talent, she was a quick addition to what would then complete the musically driving force that is One Version Aversion.
Since their inception in early 2002, they have gained the respect of many musicians and critics. The group has a respectable list of performances under their collective belts, and their songs have been featured on Internet and College radio stations; a promising sign for a young band. They've recently finished recording their debut self-titled EP, engineered by Chris Cline (And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Sixteen Deluxe, Palaxy Tracks).
