Artist description
Sara's been gaining worldwide fans wherever she plays. With her band, Sara's energizing set has drawn rave reviews...okay, it's not quite in print yet, but give it time! The music? How to describe it...let's see -- it's been called "the bastard child of Sheryl Crow and Billy Joel." It's drawn comparisons to Billy, Sheryl, Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan. Versatility is probably the best word to describe Sara's music, whether she's cruising to the smug sendup of "Not Interested" or downshifting into the poignant lost-love sentiment of "Kick and Scream." The best way to describe it is basically to hand over the music and let you be the judge. |

Artist History
Sara was playing her first cover tune ("Call Me" by Blondie) at the tender age of four in the sprawling Long Island suburbs. From there, she's taken a year of piano lessons (at age seven), a lot of self-teaching and a bit of soul-searching to assemble a group of area club and studio veterans and finally start sharing her musical aspirations with people outside of her family (Yes, most of her friends had no idea Sara even played the piano, let alone wrote and performed her own songs!) The hardest part was to overcome a terrible case of shyness. Now, the band is well on its way to...well, history will have to write itself, won't it? |
