Artist description Macumba is a band that combines South American and North Americans influences at will. The members of the band are Claudia Espinoza (lead vocals), Vicki Silva (guitar & percussion), Stephanie Simonka (bass), and Rob Silva (drums & percussion). Macumba after 3 years of service disbanded in 2000. Rob is now in Some Died Young. Vicki, Claudia, and Ashley haven't pursued new musical projects as of yet.

Artist History Macumba's first lineup got together two years ago at school, and included about 7 members. Eventually, the lineup evolved into a smaller form consisting of founders Vicki and Claudia, next-door neighbor Stephanie and Vicki's brother Rob. Macumba began creating new songs soon afterwards. Within 3 months, they played their first show at the El Mocambo. Since then they have played at numerous other clubs including the Cameron House (from which they recorded a 5 track live EP), The 360, and the Lion Club. We disbanded in 2000.
