Artist History In the day and age of Pop, Punk and Ska, Handfed's motivation is the reignition of modern rock. With a combination of rock, grunge, and the blues, Handfed has led a 3 1/2 year journey into the path of a speeding train.Founding members, Dave Larrea and Mario Lopez started it all back in 1992, gathering a band of five to compete in their high school talent show in Covina, California. Through member and name changes, Dave Larrea, Mario Lopez, Hugo Larrea, Marc Mariano are Handfed.Image can only go so far with Handfed. It's the raw yet melodic sound that is created with the combination of Dave and Mario's playing, the powerful yet hypnotic voice of John and the foundation and backbone of Handfed, Hugo Larrea, that counts.
