Artist description Songwritter/ pianist and signer, Geneviève was raised in Frelighsburg, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. She studied music at St-Laurent College and graduated with Honours from the Jazz program at University in Montreal.. She also has been a soloist and member of the Montreal People's Gospel Choir. Geneviève sang with other Quebec performing artists such as Bruno Pelletier, Dan Bigras and Manon Brunet. Since 1994, Geneviève has been pursuing her musical career singing in cabarets in Montreal, Paris and Benelux. Her own lyricist and composer, Geneviève now has more that 35 songs in her repertoire. She performs her songs while accompanying herself on the piano with an easy, soft and jazzy touch. Texts of a strong imagery, jazz musical influences in the arranging. Son premier album populaire "Verglas et Soleil" est empreint de couleurs jazz, de textes forts et imagés .

Le CD de la jeune artiste de 26 ans a bénéficié d?un bon accueil ; il a déjà été diffusé à de nombreuses reprises et tourne toujours sur les ondes de Radio Canada, C.I.S.M, C.I.B.L. et autres plus modestes radios. *** L'enregistrement et le mixage de l'album ont eu lieu au studio Star à Montréal avec Michaël Néron. Il a été gravé par Jean-François Chicoine aux studios S.N.B. Plus tard en 2000 une version Dam C.D. a ete mise en vente en ligne sur mp3.com ce C.D. s'intitule "tourbillons verglaces" et compte 3 differents titres.
