Artist description
Counter Culture is a synth-pop band with
songwriter/vocalist/producer Jonathan Jun
and vocalist/co-producer/business manager
Paul Lim. Their debut album, introspection,
examines life, faith, and emotion, in a carefully
crafted collection of original songs. Although
the album contains a wide variety of musical
styles and moods, all songs share a strong vocal
melody delivered over lush instrumentation,
propelled by groovy electronic rhythms. The
result is a catchy and irresistable pop album
reminiscent of classic synthpop bands of the 80s,
with a novel twist in orchestration and a strong,
90's dance music sound. The catchy melodic lines,
novel harmonies, and thought-provoking lyrics
create a unique and intense musical experience.
The listener is drawn into the world of the artist
- to think, feel, reflect, weep, rejoice, and
ultimately, discover God. |
