Artist History
Preferred Customer formed in 1998 with members Brian Rockwell, Ken Reeves, and Oliver Wu. Local drummer Geoff Rockwell was recruited to play on a show by show basis until a regular drummer was found. Ken and Oliver left the band to pursue other interests and Preferred Customer was put on the back burner.
We started to get off the ground when guitarist Dennis Tuttle, and drummer Geoff Rockwell became full-time members in the summer of 2001. We started practicing and molding a new sound for the band. After playing a missions trip that summer, we spent the rest of the year developing our sound, and at the start of 2002, we were ready. After years of practice and patience, our debut was a smash. On April 21, 2002, we played our first club show with Philmore at the Door in Fort Worth, TX. The response was incredible. Since then, we’ve played shows from Galveston to Tulsa, with bands like Ace Troubleshooter, Philmore, and Mewithoutyou; and we continue to play shows across Texas and Oklahoma on a regular basis.
