Artist History
In January of 2003, Nimh emerged into the local Utah music scene. With songs that sounded a little different than the other bands, even to us, we were not quite sure as to what kind of reaction we were going to get from people. Well….the reaction was explosively positive. After only seven months as an active band, we have played 50+ shows, even landing a spot on the 2003 Salt Lake City Warped Tour...which was an AMAZING experience...we got EXTREMELY good feedback from fans AND touring bands. We’ve played from the top to the bottom of Utah….also hitting parts of Wyoming and California. We have been on a 5-day tour through California with another local band, learning a lot about touring and how to work as brothers and as a band. We do most of our own booking, but we have been getting more and more help and respect from fans, other local promoters and bands as well as out-of-state promoters and bands. A few “bigger-name” bands we have opened for are Death by Stereo, Anatomy of a Ghost, Vaux, The Start, Staring Back, Endor, Western Waste, and The Stellas. Every show we play we are getting more friends and fans, and that's one of the BEST things about being in a band. Our band merchandise ranges from shirts and thong underwear to buttons and stickers. We are extremely confident in our musical talent, song writing ability, staying power and live show. A two-week tour of the west coast is almost completely booked and ready to go this August. With our newly purchased van, we look forward to putting our feelings and music on display for people around the country. All four of us have put a lot of time, planning, tears, money, blood and sweat into this band….and that’s all we want to do….to push this band and our art as far as we can. |

Wanna do me a favor?I know this band, they're one of my favorites reason
being is that they do have a different sound. It's not the same old thing
that your hearing all bands play lately. I think they might have a bit have
of a Thursday influence in there along with AFI thats is very noticable,
but
at the same time they make their own sound and style. But since they have
an
AFI thing going on that's even BIGGER...seeing as AFI (as nice guys as they
are) went Major Label which has made alot of people unhappy, so they'll get
the AFI crowd.
They're personalities are different, they just started out in January of
this year, they have a lot of amazing talent. I think that they're just
what
the underground needs at this moment, and I'm pretty sure that if a Major
Label heard them (if they've done enough touring to build a strong fan
base)
they would sign them right away. Espeically since they also have a good
sound fit for the radio. These guys are going to do big things there's no
doubt in my mind about that.
And the songs are recorded in the basement? Makes you wonder if they're
that
good down there they've got to be great live and even better in a studio.
Any label would be lucky to have them, and they're a good investment, and
there's no doubt that they would get more then their moneys worth in
return.
Just listen to the music, and the lyrics, they easily pull you in and draw
you into the band, because no ones playing like that anymore. It's got a
Punk Hardcore sound, which a lot of kids are getting into these days. |
