Artist History Jenny San Angel began her interest in music at about 9 or 10 years old. She started taking private clarinet lessons at 10, then moved on to playing in her junior high school band (yep...band nerd). At 12, she began studying classical piano and music theory with her instructor Carolyn Hailey, who enrolled her in several National Guild Auditions and piano recitals on a yearly basis. In Jr High Shool (7 or 8th grade), she began exploring acoustic folk and rock music...and started making compilation tapes with music ranging from The Beatles, America, Bread, Zombies, Animals, The Who, Kinks, David Bowie, Joan Baez, to Chopin and Bach. She currently plays drums, percussion, guitar, and sings for acoustic alternative folk duo, Tulis (with Gertie Meza).
