Artist History Dimitris Ilias began his musical training at the Athens National Conservatory at age 8. He currently holds a Bachelor in voice-performance and a graduate Diploma in Advanced Music Performance Studies from Concordia University for which he recently received an award from the Hellenic Board of Trade. Mr. Ilias has participated as tenor soloist in numerous concerts in Greece, Hungary, Italy France and the USA. He has sung many operatic and operetta leads with Opera North Theatre, Mount Royal Operatic Society, Montreal West Operatic Society and the Atelier de Jeu Scenique of the Universite de Montreal. As tenor soloist he has been invited to sing with CAMMAC orchestra and choir, Ensemble Vocale de Montreal, Montreal Philharmonic Society, Vaudreuil Philharmonic as well as the choirs and orchestras of Concordia University and Universite de Montreal. As winner of the F. Nakas competition he has sung in the concert series "NEOI GIA TOUS NEOUS" and he is a founding member of the contemporary ensemble "AFROS". He is currently the Chairman of the Music Committee of the Montreal West Operatic Society and is the tenor soloist in the recently released CD "Strange Adventure" produced by Montreal West Operatic Society.
