Artist description
Dave Preston lives in Western New York. After playing in the Buffalo area for the past three years with the band, "Waterloo Clyde", he has just recently begun a solo career closer to home in the Rochester area.
Dave's song writing experience began in high school, continued through college and, after a long gap picked up again as the kids have grown up. Preston writes songs from personal experience. He tries to capture musical stories that other people can relate to. Some of his songs are funny, some are thoughtful and sensitive. His most loyal fan, Debbie (his wife of 30 years)says its the imagery Dave creates in his songs that will forever be his trademark. |

Artist History
Preston taught himself to play guitar at the age of fifteen and started writing his own songs shortly thereafter. Over the years his guitar has always been close by. Now, at the age of fifty, this artist finds himself compeled to write and record at a more serious level. Most of the songs he has written have been long forgotten. If the lyrics survived on some yellowed paper, the melodies are often fragmented memories.
Armed with 21st century technology this artist attempts to lay down a few of the old songs and the new ones, as they come along, before they're forgotten. |
