Artist History
Anytown formed in June 2002 in Dallas, TX. After attending college in Texas and an attempt to make their first million in the internet boom in Silicon Valley, Colby and Jason struck up conversation at the Gypsy Tea room before one of Jason's gig with his previous band, MUR, as the bassist. They began writing and collaborating on songs in the following weeks from that encounter and realized that their musical styles and voices complemented each other perfectly. After releasing various demo session recordings, Anytown recorded their first album in September 2002, Welcome Home, at Last Beat Studios with famed engineer/producer, Jeff Halbert (Olospo, Burden Brothers, MUR). Anytown typically gigs with the three primary members, however you will very often catch a gig with various talented guest musicians sitting in. Anytown will continue to write and record inspiring songs as they tour the country spreading their music to any crowd that will listen.
