Artist description
Acoustic Journey is an all acoustic flamenco fusion
band that blends styles from all over the world. They use
authentic Flamenco rhythm patterns such as the Rumba
and the Buleria and combine these with swing elements such as walking
bass playing and bebop runs. The result is an explosive
mixture of virtuostic guitar playing and searing melodic
phrases that all audiences can connect with. |

Press Reviews
Music Connection Review Vol. XXVI, No 3
"New Age or jazz labels looking to pick up a high-
quality, good-to-go project will be interested in
this pristine CD from pro sidemen Dirk K (jazz) and
Dan Sistos (flamenco), guitarists who meld their
talents for this "flamenco jazz" album. This tasteful,
imaginitive duo cover material from classic jazz artists
(Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Herbie Hancock), and dazzle
with their interpretations and the sheer dexterity
of their playing. This is the kind of high concept project
that could connect with NAC radio ears.
