Artist description The Groove Syndicate, a multi-ethnic, multicity group of blaring horns, scratchy guitar, throbbing pull-bar-organ and ever bobbing bass, offers a continuous experiment in funk, jazz and soul. Originating form Orange County California, this seven-piece ensemble draws from an astoundingly deep well of experience and inspiration to create a collaborative and original sound all its own. The Groove Syndicate prides itself on its contagious live performances, and pays homage to a number of other inspirational groove brethren from Tower of Power too TalkingHeads. Members of the band have played with artists such as; Parliament, Funkadelic, the Inkspots, Dj Logic, the String Cheese Incident, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and the Motet. The band's pulse quickening improvisations are a striking compliment to the dynamic vocals of the bands driving force Natalie Martin.
