Artist History n the beginning... Michelle grew up in Yellowknife with two sisters, one a twin,one younger. The three of them would stage impromptu concerts for anyone they happened to capture, Michelle singing while her sisters played. She took classical piano lessons from an early age, but says, "I used to sit in my snow fort and hope to freeze to death rather than have to go to my lesson." Where it lead... Michelle started hosting a television show called The Tube in her teens. On the show they interviewed the likes of Lou Diamond Phillips and his band, the Bare Naked Ladies and Colin James. Michelle went on to get an Honors Pharmacology degree from UBC before she took a year of film studies at the Vancouver Film School. It was at VFS that Michelle's musical side was re-awakened. The present... Michelle is in the process of recording her debut album, Into Orbit at Musically Inklined Studios in North Vancouver. Michelle will be playing the piano, guitar and bass as well as all vocals. Don Kline Jr. will be playing guitar and bass on certain tracks and Brian Root will be on drums. Michelle is also playing piano on Don Kline Jr's new album, due out later this year. "This is a really exciting time right now, putting out my first CD and doing so much work producing-wise.
