Artist description Kronow is a melodic, brutal metal band out of Denver, Colorado. Their music incorporates elements from all genres of metal (old, nu, thrash, death), rock, and even funk & jazz without ever falling into the stereotype of any one style. While their songs move between and through these styles, there is always that basic element that is uniquely Kronow. Heavy, riff-laden guitars dominate, with solid support of the low-end bass licks, and intricate percussion movements and techniques not found in typical metal. All of this is fronted by vocals ranging from the most brutal death metal growls to quiet melodic/harmonized cleans to thrash screams. The key to the Kronow sound is hooks that invade your head immediately and refuse to leave. If you like metal of any kind, you will love Kronow. Kronow’s debut CD, titled “Tenfold” shows a lot of maturity and diversity for their maiden effort. The CD contains it all – radio friendly hooks in Feel, haunting melodies and harmonies in Denial, anthems like Freedom and American Nightmare, thrash/punk in Misery, and brutal heaviness in Unseen Punishment and the title track, Tenfold. This CD introduces you to what these guys can do and lays the groundwork for incredible work to come from this band in the future. Kronow has come a long way in the year they have been together. Their success comes from a strong work ethic and the huge level of experience and professionalism the members have gained over years of playing in various bands in and out of the Denver scene. The band consists of James Brennan on vocals, Randy Brodzik and Nathan Salas sharing guitar duties, Phil Martinez on bass, and Kenny Garza on drums. With incredible commitment to the music and to each other, Kronow has solidified its sound and attitude in a very short timeframe. Kronow is easily the fastest rising band on Colorado’s metal scene. Having secured a strong following in Denver, the band is now moving on to conquer other cities, up and down the Rockies and in neighboring states.
