Artist History
The Brutal Gore / Death Metal monster Verminous is born in October 1999, with the intention of creating a just-for-fun project with members of many important bands of the Venezuelan Underground Scene, such as PANDEMIA, GORE SANTUARIUM, EL PACTO, TERROR MACHINE, etc. With the pass of time, the project gets to formalize as a dedicated band, which suffered many line-up changes till getting the current one. Along with this, the band's style finally found its way by sharing the diverse influences of each member, such as Deeds Of Flesh, Dying Fetus, Disgorge, Cannibal Corpse, as many others from Brutal Death and Gore Metal, but always keeping the originality of Verminous by playing a style as few in the country, claiming themselves as one of the most brutal bands in the scene.
Their first gig was at the Melomaniac Venezuelan Metal Festival in Barquisimeto, with the bands UNDERTHREAT (Colombia), KRUEGER, BAJO ZERO & DARKNOIR, but due to unknown reasons, DARKNOIR couldn't get to play in the festival, so the Technical Death SARCOM substituted them..
A promotional demo entitled "In Extremis" was recorded with the intention of breeding their material throughout the country by sending the promo to several radio stations, and the realization and promotion of several gigs such the BRUTAL FEST, organized by J.C. Orellana, vocalist of the band.
The band currently has approximately 18 composed songs, enough to record an entire album, with titles such as "Aborto de Gusanos", "Aderezo de Vísceras", "Extirpado", "Sueño Grotesco", between others, which the band is planning to record for the present year, finalizing what would officialy be their first full-length production. |
