Artist description Hailing from the depths of southern California, Phoenix Burning formed early in 2002. A passion for rock music was the magnet that brought this trio together and is propelling them through the mad world of music as we speak. With all members having experience in former outfits such as; In the Pocket, The Remnants, Superfunk, 66 Shooter and Ben Tramer, Phoenix Burning fashions a sound containing such elements of melodic heavy music as well as echos of renowned alternative rock acts such as Incubus and The Juliana Theory. Catchy textural guitar lines and sultry lyrical hooks delivered by Phoenix Burning frontman Ryan McKone are incredibly balanced and accented by the back-breaking rhythm section of Thaddeus Cortez on drums and Dave "Boomer" Kruger on bass guitar. Phoenix Burning is a breath of new life and a fresh taste of melodic rock music as well as an intense experience for the listener.
