Artist History
Leaderdogs began as a studio project for Lyndon Perry and Grant Morhman.
The release of the first full length record, Lemonade, with R.E.X. Records
generated a great deal of industry buzz.
R.E.X. closed their doors for management and ownership restructuring just
three weeks after the release of Lemonade. Leaderdogs contracted the help
of Ripple Management to service & support their own radio singles. Track
#1,"Yellow & Black Attack", went to #1 on the hard rock charts for 6 weeks.
The follow up, "Ripple", was at the top of the charts for 8 weeks.
In response to the hype, Lyndon decided to form a live band. Leaderdogs for
the Blind the spring of 1996 and into early 1997 throughout the midwest.
The band was then pursued by a handful of labels to release a follow up record.
However, in '97, having fulfilled their goal of supporting Lemonade, Leaderdogs
disbanded to pursue individual projects.
In the time that has followed, the buzz continued about the Lemonade record and
tour.
The founding member and visionary, Lyndon Perry, relocated to central Illinois
in 1999. In the summer on 2001, after many requests for new material, Lyndon
wrestled with the idea of a rebirth. Continued feedback in 2002 confirmed the
desire and his drive to continue the vision of Leaderdogs.
The ressurection of Leaderdogs is in motion, full on! |
