Artist History
- José Antonio Rodríguez (Córdoba, 1964)
He started his career at a very early age: when he was 20 he became the youngest teacher ever of flamenco guitar in the Córdoba Conservatory.
He has the three most important awards granted in the flamenco world: "Festival from Minas de la Unión" (1981), "Jerez de la Frontera Song Contest" (1982) and "Ramón Montoya National Prize of Flamenco Guitar Concert" (1986).
Besides his five albums (including "Vals Flamenco" released in the whole Europe or "Manhattan de la Frontera"), he has composed concerts for orchestra ("El Guitarrista Azul" dedicated to Picasso) duos, trios, quartets and quintets and even songs for ballet and cinema.
He has toured all over Europe an America. Due to his participation in the most important music festivals of the world and, also, to his work as composer and studio musician, he has had the opportunity to play with figures like Paco de Lucía, Manolo Sanlúcar, Astor Piazzola, Chick Corea, John McLaughlin or The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
- Rogelio Conesa (Sevilla, 1967)
After several years studying both classical and flamenco guitar and playing many concerts, in 1991 he recorded his first album "Barrio Santa Cruz". This album was highly appreciated by the critics for its talent and elegance.
Rogelio Conesa was elected ambassador of Sevillan music to promote Expo' 92 abroad.
He has worked in several fields of music and his task as producer is remarkable, particularly, for the collection Flamenco Encyclopaedia where he accompanies at the guitar flamenco singers like Chano Lobato, Curro Malena or Tina Pavon.
His second album "Guitarra Cofrade" appeared in 2000 and had a big success for its innovation and strength.
- José Manuel Roldán (Sevilla, 1961)
He has wide experience in live music playing. He has worked in several "tablaos" and live music pubs of Sevilla.
He has played in the most prestigious theatres all around the world thanks to the fact he joined Antonio Gades and Mario Maya's flamenco companies: Frankfurt's Opera, Royal Festival Hall from London, Sidney's Opera and others in Japan, Egypt, Russia, USA and South America.
Different record companies have released his albums.
Despite his knowledge of all styles that constitute "cante" –sung- and "baile" –dance- flamencos, he defines himself as a specialist of Concert playing, for which he composes all songs the performs.
- Quique Paredes (Sevilla, 1955)
His real name is Enrique Fernández Muñoz. He offered his first concert at the age of 10 and when he was 13 he made his first tour with the dancer Curro Vélez. He has actually accompanied many popular flamenco dancers such as Farruco, El Mimbre, Pilar López or Matilde Corral.
His discography is composed of two albums "De maera" (1986) with an excellent strength and flamenco flavour and "Amanece al día" (1994). Besides, he has collaborated in albums with other artists like Paco Taranto, El Chozas, El Perejil or Cantores de Hispalis.
He has made concerts all over Spain and in Holland, Canada, Morocco, New York and Japan.
